The Mystical Lands of Shinerox

Beyond the veils of the known, where the air hums with unseen energies, lies the sacred realm of Shinerox—a land cradled by time, shaped by the breath of an ancient crystal. Encased within seven colossal mountain ranges, their peaks crowned with ice and their roots entwined with secrets, this world stands untouched by the seas beyond. These mountains, guardians of the land, whisper with winds that carry echoes of forgotten tongues.
 

From their towering heights, seven great rivers are born, coursing through the land like veins of an eternal being. Wide as the mightiest rivers of legend, they weave through biomes of wonder—serpent-like swamps, rainforests steeped in emerald mist, golden deserts where the dunes shift like living things, and rocky plains where the very stones pulse with an ancient force. Some lands shimmer with life, while others stand in eerie silence, waiting for the cycle to turn once more.

At the realm’s heart lies the Central Sea, a vast and mystical body of water whose tides are whispered to be guided by the pulse of the world itself. And upon its sacred island, bathed in a celestial glow, stands the Shinerox Crystal—the monolith of light, the beacon of power, the silent architect of change.

The land around the Monolith, illuminated by its glow, is the Realm of Shinerox. At the Realm’s glowing center lies the vast and luminous Rayshine Sea, a mystical ocean that surrounds the Incidenex Island. Its waters shimmer with refracted light, dancing like liquid crystal. The depths of the Rayshine Sea are uncharted and treacherous, home to ancient  and unknowable beings. Its territories are strictly off-limits to the Cognions, guarded by forgotten laws and the warnings of seers. The Realm itself is encircled by seven gigantic mountain ranges whose icy summits pierce the swirl clouds and whose foundations hold deep secrets. These peaks block the light of the Monolith from passing beyond it, keeping it bound in the Realm. From these guardian peaks, seven mighty rivers descend like glowing veins, cutting across a landscape rich in wonder: glowing rainforests where the leaves whisper mysteries,  deserts that ripple like illusions, swamp-breathing marshes, and thunderous plains that echo with forgotten songs.

 

For the land of Shinerox does not stand still. It breathes with time, shifting like a great cosmic tide. The forests may flicker with bioluminescent spirits, mountains may birth floating isles, and swamps may harden into fertile plains. These are not mere seasons, but the rhythm of existence—the will of Shinerox itself. And those who walk its sacred lands do not resist these changes; they move in harmony with the realm’s ancient, mystical pulse. For in Shinerox, to live is to be in sync with the magic of the world itself.

Timeline of Shinerox

Era 1: Dawn of Cognions
(0 - 1260 ADC, 7 Timeloops)

The Serpenions develop early underground civilizations using natural tools and cultivate venomous plants. They learn to manipulate the land for their advantage.

The Aqorions establish underwater cities in coral reefs, developing bio-tools from sea creatures and shaping their aquatic environments.

 

Humanions settle as nomads in plains, forests, and mountains, learning agriculture and animal domestication. They create early permanent settlements.

Avirions build aerial homes in high cliffs and sky islands, developing flight-enhancing tools and structures harnessing wind energy.

​

Key Event: The first Great Gathering at The Cradle, a neutral zone where representatives of all four factions meet to share knowledge. This peaceful exchange sparks curiosity but also envy of each other's resources.

Era 2: Clash of Cognions
(1261 - 1440 ADC, 1 Timeloop)

Serpenions expand their territories underground, seeking metals and minerals, leading to skirmishes with Humanions over surface land.
 

Aqorions push into rivers and coastal areas, fighting with Humanions for control of fresh water.
 

Humanions develop metallurgy and fortify their cities, clashing with Aqorions and Serpenions for control of fertile lands and water.
 

Avirions weaponize flight to raid Humanion cities and coastal Aqorion settlements for resources.
 

Key Event: The Battle of Skies and Shores marks the largest conflict between Avirions and Aqorions, resulting in significant casualties on both sides and igniting more large-scale wars.

Era 3: Fall of Cognions
(1441 - 1800 ADC, 2 Timeloops)

The Serpenions and Humanions form an alliance to conquer Aqorions and Avirions, though their partnership is fragile.
 

Aqorions develop devastating water-based siege weapons, and Avirions create airborne storm devices.
 

The War of the Cognions erupts, engulfing all factions in a massive conflict that leads to the destruction of cities, ecosystems, and knowledge.
 

Key Event: The Shattering, where all four factions unleash their most powerful forces simultaneously, triggering natural disasters that destroy their kingdoms and fracture their societies.

Era 4: Ascent of Cognions
(1801 - 2340 ADC, 3 Timeloops)

Serpenions rediscover ancient alchemy, using it to create sustainable bio-technologies and repair their damaged lands.
 

Aqorions harness ocean currents and geothermal energy to rebuild their underwater cities.
 

Humanions focus on eco-friendly agricultural technology, building self-sustaining eco-cities.
 

Avirions perfect wind and solar power, developing skyships for trade and communication.
 

Key Event: The signing of the Treaty of Harmony, which creates the Council of Cognions to mediate conflicts and ensure resource distribution, leading to a period of peace and rebuilding.

Era 5: Peak of Cognions
(2341 - 2880 ADC, 3 Timeloops)

  • Serpenions master bio-technologies, allowing them to manipulate their forms and adapt to new environments.
     

  • Aqorions have perfect control over the ocean and create mobile sea cities to explore uncharted waters.
     

  • Humanions develop inter-dimensional gateways to explore new realms and uncover vast new resources.
     

  • Avirions craft spacecraft-like vehicles to venture into the Dark Realm, an unknown dimension beyond their world.
     

  • Key Event: The Great Expedition, where all factions collaborate to explore the Dark Realm, encountering a mysterious ancient entity that holds immense power and knowledge.
